“You can take the girl out of France, but you certainly cannot take France out of the girl!”

I have heard this expression so many times that I believe it is true.

Hello, I am miss Coco. Born and raised in France, I moved to the United States thirty years ago. I have been teaching French and everything French over the years including French cuisine – After all, I owned a French bistro, and my favorite thing to do there was… to cook! I travel to France quite a lot to go see the family, and I love French Polynesia. Last but not least, and to show that I am totally dedicated to France, I am the honorary consul of France for the state of Montana which is where I currently live.

This « TLC » Trip to France is unlike any other language course you have ever taken.

What makes it so unique and attractive?

Not only do you learn some basic words and expressions – just enough to get by should you go to France someday - but I also take you to some beautiful places in France, and I talk about the French culture, the do’s, the don’ts, the customs, the trends, and the traditions.

Please be my guest and follow me through this exciting journey to France!

Travel
Travel

From cities to small villages, we will cover a lot of ground together, and I will take you to some charming, authentic places that very few tourists know about.

Language

You will learn some simple words and phrases such as “Hello”, “Goodbye”, “Thank you”, “Can you speak slowly, please?”, “I am from America”, “I would like to make some reservations for tonight, please”… and much, much more… all in a relaxed atmosphere.

For your convenience, each language segment comes with a Vocabulary List that you can download and print.

Culture

Where do you place your fork and knife when you are done eating in France? What are the rules of the handshake? Who sits where at the table? These are just a few sample topics that we will address and clarify.

I designed this course to give you a good balance between the learning segments (Language) and the more entertaining segments (Travel and Culture), and I encourage you to start with a “Travel” class (Blue), then watch a Language class (Red), then a Culture class (White), and back to a “Travel” class.

Whether you decide to follow this suggestion is your decision, and you should be free to navigate through these classes as you wish! Bon voyage, happy learning, and MERCI!
